What is the one thing you can’t buy for your business?

kaching 2TGIF! Have you ever noticed when things are going good, everything seems to flow great? Your attitude affects so much that happens within a 24 hour period. I have been battling Bronchitis all week and kinda feeling blue, but oddly enough this morning when I woke up I was in such a good mood. There was no traffic, my son puked on my clothes but it didnt matter because I was wearing white and it blended in (LOL), and my older ons even ate his breakfast without wiping his hands on his clothes! Good morning all around. I also woke up feeling motivated. So I went to Publix bought a tray of sandwiches, cookies, juice, chips and called an emergency office meeting. At first everyone was nervous, but I opened the meeting with the line

“What is the one thing you cant buy for your business? ” And they looked at me crazy and then I proceeded to start my motivational speech. Its important to motivate your crew and motivation starts at the top. My staff is handpicked because they posses qualities I love, admire and make for awesome business behavior. I am a stickler for customer service and treating people the way I like to be treated so to reinforce my vision I like to host motivational meetings to remind them. So to answer my question…. you can not buy a reputation.. its something you have to earn.

I have spent more than half of my life investing, learning, sharing and centered around the face and body paint world. I started young as I traveled with Marcela to Clown conventions and I havent stopped. We love what we do and it has helped us build a reputation around the industry. (Hopefully a good one) Then I showed my office the article written by Lori McSorley of NJ. I had to hold back tears because I was so honored, and excited that out of the clear blue for no other reason but the kindness of her heart and the reputation we have she mentioned and listed our sites.

People don’t always remember your face, your first name, or the shoes you were wearing but they do remember how you made them feel. I keep reinforcing the idea of how we make people feel through every box, through my YouTubes, through their visit to our store. And why its so important to make the EXTRA effort to show them we are not just a business but we are their “Paint Pal’s”.

I also talked a lot about my vision for our company, about our new line of brushes, and improvements we are working on daily. They need to see the vision as much as I do if I want them to carry it out.

Now the same is true when you are having a crap day, everything is bad, everything sucks and nothing seems to flow right. But those days are inevitable, and bad news and energy is heavier than happiness. I read the best quote one day. It said ” There will be people that lie, cheat, steal and talk behind your back… but there will also be people that will love you, support you, and help you” So for every bad day… remember it doesn’t last. And that your good energy and attitude can transform a regular into something amazing!

Thank you Lori McSorley for thinking enough about us to mention us in this amazing article. Thank you to everyone that supports us from around the globe. We work hard, and do what we do for you. I wish everyone a great weekend and their very own amazing day! heart emoticon heart emoticon all my love
