A Message from the CEO of Silly Farm

12-Square-December-Tree❤ Friends and family ❤
2024 marked a special milestone for me. 20 years ago, fresh out of college, with almost no money I made an offer to buy Silly Farm from my aunt Marcela “Mama Clown”.
I had zero experience running an e commerce store. I also had no experience with photoshop, merchant processing, or taxes. What I had was the support of my family and relentless passion to make the world a more colorful place.
The last 20 years have been a DREAM come true. I have traveled the world meeting artists, teaching, painting, creating memories and sharing my love for art. I have had the most incredible opportunity to organize a convention that brought the world of face and body art together. The memories we have made together is priceless.
This journey has been a rollercoaster. Owning a small business is not for the faint of heart. With every spectacular high, you can count on an intense low. And through it all, my paint family has been there helping me make a way.
My customers have become my family. I am proud that many of my customers have my personal number and know they can count on me if they need something. This has been a business goal of mine since day one and I’m grateful that 20 years later the best investment I have made has always been PEOPLE!
As small business encounters a new age of challenges, I am confident people will get us through. Now is the time to be present and think about how to balance small business vs Amazon. Small business vs AI, small business vs the convenience of self check out.
Now more than ever its up to us to remember that behind every small business ( including your own face painting and art business) is a person that is wearing many hats, that jumps for joy when we seal a deal or make a sale. While it is super easy to one click on Amazon, its just as easy to shop small and and make a BIG impact.
Nothing changes, if nothing changes and what I mean by that is we have to be the change we want to see. Network more, share more compliments, recommend a business, write a review, and support small business when you can.
As I enter the next decades of being a small business owner my pledge to you is to share from my heart, help when I can, keep prices from kicking our butts, and be present to support each and every one of you when possible.
I want to wish each of you the BEST Holiday season filled with love, creativity and unspeakable JOY!
Lastly, if you need a last minute Christmas or Hanukkah gift we do have printable gift cards available ❤ share the love of creativity and supporting small business ❤ https://sillyfarm.com/…/silly-farm-printable-gift-card…
